On Wednesday, a Marine veteran was captured on surveillance video saving an Arizona gas station from armed robbers.

Surveillance video released by the Yuma County Sheriff showed the early morning incident, where the man converses with a person out of frame just moments before the suspects rush in.

The video, taken just before 4:30 am, show two men dressed in black wearing masks entering the store, one pointing a gun.

As the armed suspect comes closed to the man, the veteran steps into action, disarming the suspect and knocking him to the ground.

The sheriff's office said the veteran helped detain the suspect until authorities arrived to the scene, according to ABC 7.

Two other suspects got away and remain at large.

When deputies asked the man how he was able to quickly take control of the situation, investigators said he responded by saying, "The Marine Corps taught me not to [mess] around."
